As part of the activities of the project “Reducing food waste and enhancing the value chain of horticultural crops”, implemented by the Misr Al-Khair Foundation and funded by the Citi Foundation, a number of training programs were implemented for partner NGOs in the governorates of Luxor (Al-Bir and Al-Rahma Association in Bayadiya) and Aswan (The Holy Quran Memorization Association in Armenia).
These trainings targeted topics that included: “Sound financial management and financial inclusion,” “Risk management,” and “Sustainability of development programs and projects,” with the aim of enhancing the efficiency of associations and their ability to manage effectively, and ensuring the continuity of their role in supporting small farmers and achieving sustainable economic and social development.

Within the framework of the project “Reducing Food Loss and Enhancing the Value Chain of Horticultural Crops”, implemented by Misr El Kheir Foundation and funded by Citi Foundation, a series of training programs were delivered to partner civil society organizations (CSOs) in the governorates of Luxor and Aswan.
These trainings covered key topics including: sound financial management and financial inclusion, risk management, and sustainability of development programs and projects. The objective was to strengthen the efficiency of CSOs, enhance their capacity for effective management, and ensure the continuity of their role in supporting small-scale farmers while promoting sustainable economic and social development.
The project, supported by Citi Foundation and implemented by Misr El Kheir Foundation across Aswan, Luxor, and Fayoum, focuses on supporting small-scale farmers through the cultivation and drying of vegetables, medicinal, and aromatic plants, while linking them to local and international markets. This contributes to generating stable income for beneficiary households, particularly women.
Through these efforts, Misr El Kheir Foundation aims to build an integrated system that combines farmer empowerment, CSO capacity development, and the creation of new marketing channels—thereby enhancing opportunities for sustainable development and ensuring long-term positive impact for local communities
